In terms of technical specifications, the Xolo A700s is fitted with a 4.5 inch IPS display that packs a qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 245 ppi. The phone draws power from a dual-core MediaTek 6572 processor ticking at 1.3 GHz supplemented with 395 MHz Mali 400 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM. To handle the imaging needs of the users, the Xolo A700s packs a basic camera set comprising of a 5 MP primary snapper with LED flash, HD 720p video recording and BSI sensor. This camera is teamed up with a VGA front-facer for basic video calling requirements. The A700s also bundles 4 GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB by means of a micro SD card. Connectivity goodies onboard include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, 3G and dual SIM functionality. Under the hood is a 1,800 mAh battery that can power the device delivering a decent backup to it under mixed usage. The A700s is based on the dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and it is not clear if it will receive the Android KitKat update. Also, the handset features a rubberized back cover that will prevent scratches and fingerprint marks. While the entry-level smartphone market is flooded with KitKat based offering with quad-core processors, the A700s with such basic specifications and the dated platform might be a weak contender. But, we need to wait to know the performance of the device to judge its capabilities.
