Build Quality, Design and Form Factor
It feels solid in hands, no of the parts make any extra noise while using the device, the back cover it a quite good fit, we also dropped the phone once during the review accidently but nothing happened to the phone, however the back cover is glossy and it will attract finger prints and scratch easily. It has a shiny chrome style material one the edges which holds the front glass and phone body together, it does give the device a premium look. It has curved back cover which gives a easy grip and it looks nice and premium in terms of looks, but the design looks some what like we have seen earlier on some samsung phones. The form factor of the device is good with dimensions of 142 x 71 x 9.8 mm which makes it quite slim at 9.8 mm and weight around 126 grams which makes it portable enough to carry around, the overall form factor in weight and size is very much comparable to any other premium 5 Inch display phone, its rightly sized to fit your palm.
Camera Performance
It has rear 13 MP camera with auto focus supported with LED flash as well, it can record 1080p video at 30 fps and the video quality is quite good as well but the sound quality is ok. The front camera is 5 MP fixed focus can be suitable to do High quality video chat and the device does not have a secondary mic for noise cancellation. Below are some photos taken with rear camera, check out the photo samples. Camera Samples
Display, Memory and Battery Backup
It has 5 Inch IPS capacitive touch screen display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 which gives you around 441 pixels per inch. The display has pretty good viewing angles as well, as we could see the display from extreme viewing angles as well. In terms of color reproduction display is good but not the best, it does look readable as well when you take the phone outdoors, it does have ambient light sensor so it can adjust the display brightness as per the light environment in which you are using it. The unit we tested had in built memory is 32Gb out of which around 24 Gb approx is available to the user to install apps and store pictures videos and other data, it does have memory card slot to expand the storage and you can not only move apps from the phone memory to SD card but you can set SD card as default write disk. The battery backup is quite satisfactory with around one day of usage or some times even more than one day as well if you don’t play heavy games and does not watch a lot of video content, use the camera minimal but use the apps on the phone most of the time during its usage.
Software, Benchmarks and Gaming
The software UI in the phone is stock android and there is no customization which we could notice, the overall UI is quite snappy but could have been more faster if the device have 720p display but still minute lag in UI is not a big deal in overall performance of the device which is pretty decent. On gaming front, its good but not the best but still can play graphic intensive games as well without much lag and casual games run fine on the device without any issues. We played frontline commando D day, Dead Trigger 2 and Temple Run OZ without any problem on this device, you will get a clear idea when we do the gaming review which will come soon for this phone on our youtube channel. Sound, Video and Navigation
The sound from the loud speaker is good and loud but not too loud and due to the placement of the loud speaker the sound might get blocked when you place the device on a table when you are watching a video on the device or playing a game and accidentally block the loud speaker at the back. Sound from the ear piece is also quite clear on voice calls. It can play HD videos at 720p without any issues but some 1080p videos might have audio and video sync issues. It can also be used for GPS navigation with the help of assisted GPS and it does have magnetic sensor for precise navigation, the GPS locking took around 8 minutes to get locked at outdoors and in indoors we could not get GPS getting locked.

Conclusion and Price
Smart Namo Saffron One is a decent device with great performance and great display with pretty good build quality and form factor, however the device does not play the heavy graphic games very smoothly but still you can play some heavy games as well on this device. 16 Gb variant comes for Rs. 18000 and 32 Gb Variant for Rs. 24000 and its great device at this price, however we see 16Gb version of this device as a more value for money device.
